Mindz Brainplay is endorsed by NESA to conduct Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at proficient level.
Our workshops on ‘Using an Electroencephalograph (EEG) headset in science or STEM classroom activities’ are for any teacher interested in using neuroscience to not only instill STEM outcomes, but engage and motivate students generally. The EEG is a tool for creating interest in science at a personal level as students investigate THEIR brain. It’s also for teachers interested in using the EEG to assist students with anxiety or stress induced ADHD.
The workshop will contribute 2 hours and 30 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 3.2.2, 3.4.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW. Teachers from other states should check with their relevant department. With breaks, the workshop will run for 3 hours and all participants get a Certificate of Completion.
What others say….
An exciting tool to demonstrate to students the power of their thoughts. Where they can learn how their brain responds to various stimulus as they play, focus, listen or meditate and build their concentration skills. Dottie Naszka Floraville Public School
It was a great experience that provided some engaging practical activities that I am already looking at including in my programming. It was presented exceptionally well and provided some great example activities to get started on.
